We, at Summit, are very proud of collaborating with and using SMA inverters from SMA Solar Technology, a leading global specialist for photovoltaic system technology that develops, produces and sells solar inverters to invert the stored solar energy into electrical power.

We are also proud of our strategic partnership with SMA Sunbelt Energy GmbH for the implantation of various solar applications especially the hybrid plants in Egypt and the Middle East.

The innovative solutions of SMA solar technology offers customers greater independence in meeting their energy needs while saving money and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

SMA has an extensive range of products, which offers the right inverters for all module type and plant sizes from small residential systems as well as large-scale plants, grid-connected photovoltaic systems as well as off-grid systems. Moreover, SMA offers system technology for various battery technologies and system sizes and collaborates with renowned battery manufacturers. The SMA technology is protected by about 700 patents and utility models worldwide.

SMA collaborates with Tesvolt, the commercial lithium storage system. Tesvolt now uses SMA Sunny Island battery inverter in their storage systems. The combined system of battery and battery inverter enables companies to sustainably and cost-effectively reduce their energy cost. The Sunny Island inverter produced by SMA was developed to optimize the performance and efficiency of energy supply systems, and can be used in both off-grid and grid-tied systems.

REFUsol. Summit’s collaboration with REFUsol that develops and sells highly efficient solar inverters for decentralized PV systems, expands Summit’s capabilities in offering its customers inclusive photovoltaic solutions. REFUsol develops innovative products at the highest technical level. Alongside solar inverters, their products include hybrid power solutions and products for supplying energy to mobile telephony base stations and construction sites. REFUsol sold over 250,000 inverters worldwide since they were launched.

REFUsol is a business unit of REFU Elektronik GmbH which employs over 9,500 staff and has a sales turn-over of almost 1 billion euros. REFU Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1965, and has since then set new standards in the areas of power supply, power storage and inverter technology. The company is a member of the internationally renowned company PRETTL.

REFUsol’s award-winning string inverters have made a real name for themselves for projects involving the installation of medium-sized to large PV systems. The inverters use patented UltraEta® topology, which enables them to achieve maximum efficiency at all times. The compact, light-weight equipment uses convection cooling, so it is extremely quiet and maintenance-free

REFUsol solar inverters models 8k to 20k, the compact series which always uses the same sized enclosure, is available in five performance classes, ranging from 8, 10, 13 and 17 to 20 kw, enable customers to always find the right unit for every solar power installation.
If customers are installing a large PV system with its own transformer, they can use the 23K-MV inverter model, which uses 460 V AC voltage: this will enable them to achieve 15% more power density.

The new series, with 40 and 46 kw output, is especially suited to large decentralized PV systems. They produce twice as much output as the 20K series, so much less installation work and space is required. Customers can also benefit from additional options such as the DC surge protection and string fuses in the REFUsol Connection Box. Additionally, the functions provided by this power package include a detailed 4-channel string monitoring system.
